love as our parents love?!

Hmm. Isn't it easy to like someone when they're always in a good mood when you see them, if they're really interesting to talk to, if they're really pretty or cute, if they're always cheerful and nice to everyone all the time? I mean who doesn't like someone like that? But what about the other times? when you're sick and grumpy, when you haven't had enough sleep and annoyed at everything you see, when you have no makeup on and your face is full of pimples, when you feel like crap and you want to throw a temper tantrum. Where do the people go? What happens when your principles clash, when your annoying habits start to show, when you realize you deal with things differently? Where are the people who say they love you now?

It's amazing how families stick together. Parents deal with so much crap from the kids, and vice versa. I'm surprised they even love them anymore nowadays. They yell and scream for independence and they still have face to turn around ask their parents for money and the car before they leave slamming the door behind them. Sure parents lay out restrictions and rules for the kids, but they ARE the parents and they DO have the authority to (within reason, that is).

So really? How do they stand it all? I guess they love their children just that much. Possibly even too much sometimes. Too much to let them run all over them. It doesn't matter what they do to hurt them, they still love them no matter what happens. (Kind of like the relationship between God and man I guess. But I'm sure God's love for us is like a GOOGOL* times more than anything else in this world. :P)

When someone loves you enough, they won't care about ANY your faults and love you anyway. They'll put you first in their lives but still be independent enough to run their own lives so that you will have a better one. Are we to find ourselves a significant other who loves us as much as or even more than our parents? I think it'd be nice :)

Mac MacGuff: In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with.
Juno MacGuff: I sort of already have.
Mac MacGuff: Well, of course! You're old D-A-D! You know I'll always be there to love and support you no matter what kind of pickle you're in... Obviously

I believe the word you're looking for is 'Googol" as opposed to 'Google' like the search engine.
